Description: The original Rustic Inn Fort Lauderdale crabhouse began as a roadhouse saloon. As time went by, our hole-in-the-wall Ft Lauderdale crabhouse grew up, keeping with the demand for steamed crabs, seafood, linguini with homemade sauces and other popular dishes. Our World Famous Garlic Crabs are known the world over. We invite you and your family to see what the legend is all about. Enjoy waterfront dining on our dock or in our main dining room. Visit our cocktail lounge and enjoy one of our original frozen drinks.

Went to the Rustic Inn Crabhouse for a birthday and it was a really nice dinner.
The Alaskan crab legs were very good and the garlic crabs were awesome.

Once again amazing food and great service! The military discount was the icing on the cake. The drinks were made to perfection. Very large food portions as well

We overheard someone at the airport talking about the restaurant. They invited others to return to the restaurant with them. We thought it can't be too bad if the guests were talking about returning. We were happy to find out that our hotel listed them on their suggested restaurant list. The free pickup from the hotel was a plus. The minute we walked in the door we knew the seafood was fresh and we were not disappointed! The serving portion was excellent. We order the World Famous Garlic Crabs, jumbo shrimp, and stuffed shrimp. We all had leftovers!

. . . . . but, still very good. Went with another couple on a Sunday evening. The overhead "your table is now available" is very shrill and way too loud. VERY spartan bar drink menu - No Johnnie Red - only Johnnie Black and at $12!? Ordered a Stinger but did not have the ingredients. Ordered a Gin and soda - got a gin and tonic. Sent it back but it was on the bill until I asked to have it removed. Gravel strewn parking lot was a challenge to walk/navigate. Had the Shrimp Scampi - generous portion, well presented, and tasty; but at $23 it should be! Out of soap and towels in the mens' room - had to use the blower. Door opens in so you have to grip the handle to exit (yuck!). Bread for the table was a toasted hoagie roll - had to ask for it - not sure if there was a charge. Atmosphere is VERY loud - hard to hear conversation. Others in the group thought it was, "Okay." Me, too. But, as I said above, somethins' changed and not for the better.

I went with a group and wow; their king crab was amazing. They are famous for their garlic crab bundles. Their stuffed shrimp was amazing too. Basically a delicious crab cake with a shrimp inside. I will return there next visit to the area
