Don't let the nondescript strip mall location fool you. This place is a sophisticated (without being haughty) restaurant that offers innovative dishes with fresh organic ingredients. Tables are well spaced and the dining room is quietly handsome. They pride themselves on farm fresh ingredients and they (by Florida standards) deliver. Had conch sliders for appetizers which were good, but slightly dry. Also had a watermelon with walnut salad that was excellent, and carpaccio which was good. For main courses we had the braised beef which was nicely cooked and tender. Had a chicken dish, which at first was boring until I mixed in the accompanying vegetables. Wine list is good but not great as it was hard to get a crispy white. Dessert was limited and needs some more selection, but the lemon sorbet with a meringue (or something like it) topping was good. What makes this restaurant outstanding is management's professionalism, desire to please and its effort to bring fresh, quality ingredients to South Florida.

About a week ago, I had the pleasure of eating at the Grateful Palate. And what a phenomenal dining experience it was! A friend of mine recommended my husband and I try it. It was such a treat to get away to a place that had upscale appeal along with a warm and inviting atmosphere. I had the duck and my husband had the scallops - both were to die for. To top everything off the service was impeccable - which was probably why we loved it that much more. While there, I found out they have a wine bar too. Even better, huh? Everything was so wonderful…I can’t wait to go back!

I've been to the Grateful Palate a few times this year and every time I get a wonderful surprise! The food is fresh and different. For instance the Greek salad with the feta fritters. The seared shrimp is out if this world.
Went there also for St Patrick's Day and the beer tasting. Only 15 dollars for 12 beers from different micro breweries - a great experience. The beer expert was so helpful and cheerful. The music on Saturday evenings is also out of this world - incredible live singer!
ps Ask for the wine sampler!
