We stayed here for a long girlfriends weekend and loved the condo location, ocean views and nice pool area. We were dissappointed that we couldn't use the grill area as it was commandered by a wedding party the entire weekend.
Although the condo itself was lovely with ample space for all five of us we were disappointed that the kitchen wasn't stocked with up to date or even basic cooking utensils, pots & pans, or any storage type containers. There were many items that were put away dirty from previous renters. The coffee maker, blender and toaster were the cheapest kitchen appliances that we had ever used and had seen their better day.
We also had to go out and BUY beach towels! Come on...this is a BEACH RENTAL! We all flew in and didn't pack beach towels and were shocked that they were not supplied with the rental. I am a very frequent traveler and have rented condo/homes all over the world and have never had to go out and buy beach towels. Maybe if we had been told they weren't supplied we wouldn't have been so annoyed, but it stated all linens included which would include towels and beach towels at a beach rental. We also had to call and ask for more kitchen towels and washclothes as they only supplied ONE kitchen towel and ONE washcloth! Really....who only uses one towel or washcloth while cooking up a feast! Granted if this were only a long term rental I could see only supplying one, but for short term rentals ONE dish towel and dish wash cloth is not acceptable.
The building itself is rather old and tired looking from the road side as were the outside walkways within the building, but from the ocean side looked like it had been recently painted and updated. One of the two very old elevators only worked randomly so it was always a long wait to use the elevator. The particular condo that we rented was physically updated a few years ago and looked very nice, but it's time now to have the sofa's cleaned.
Would I rent this condo again? Perhaps...but I would certainly look around first as for the cost I expected the kitchen to be fully stocked with essential or basic cookware given our girlfriend group likes to cook fabulous meals together!
Beware of units and special pricing for some owners. This is our third year here and we've spent time in different units of varying degrees of cleanliness and upgrades. This year we weren't told that this newly remodeled unit was $3,000. per month, instead of the $2,350 as listed on the website and brochure. Thus, when we did get a bill it was too late to change units and even the office manager didn't know why the bill was higher, but she said "prices can change at any time"! We talked to Fern at the main office and she told us some owners charge more for their units. Great, then tell us so we can make a financial decision based on the facts. Hence, we love the unit we're in but weren't told the price increase until the fall. This was not transparent and even the new manager didn't know the reason for the increase. These are not good business practices as the former manager never explained the increase and the new manager didn't know why the increase was so much higher.
