“Informative and enjoyable ”

Everglades National Park Boat Tours
Reviewed 10 May 2018 via mobile

There are several alternatives available but we chose this one because we felt our money would go towards the restoration and maintenance of the area.
Our Captain was friendly, knowlegable and experienced and gave a good narration to accompany the tour.

The weather was sunny and breezy on our boat tour. The place was easy to find and there were plenty of empty spots on the boat. The captain and first mate were very knowledgeable about the plants (mangroves), the dolphins, and history of the area. They discussed what happened during Hurricane Irma and the recovery efforts beside the docking area. It was a great way to learn more about the area and about other activities we could partake in (kayaking and camping on a beach, etc.) Recommended if you're looking for a casual experience.

Enjoyed the boat ride of the Ten Thousand Islands.Saw several dolphins and birds. I was a little disappointed that there was not more narration. The Captain, who seemed very nice, pointed out animals and answered questions , but I thought we would hear continued narration about the water, animals, maybe some history. Just was hoping for more.

These boat tours are concessionaires but do know their stuff. No manatees but did see ospreys, American oystercatchers, cormorants and terns. As we arrived out near the gulf, we were able to find dolphins and were successful in getting 4 of them jump and swim into our boat wake. We really enjoyed these sightings. Did leRn about the 10,000+ Islands was good.

We went on the first tour of the day so the wind had not kicked up. Our captain and First mate (Cheeseman) were great at finding dolphins and manatees as well as bird life. Highly recommended.
