“Great family fun”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 April 2012

My husband, our two girls (15 and 17) and I took an evening kayak trip with John. Going into our adventure, the girls were not all that excited about 4 hours of kayaking. However, all of us loved the trip and would gladly do it again. John was our guide and he did a great job. It is quite an experience to work your way through the mangrove tunnels during the day - and even more thrilling to come back in the dark with headlamps lighting the way. I would definitely recommend the kayaking trips to anyone who is even slightly interested.

“Kayak adventure w/John Lewis”

John is a terrific guide; very patient with beginners and kids, found plenty of wildlife for everyone to see and was very informative without being preachy.

“a wonderful life”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 April 2012

The everglades is a must and our guide showed us how truly wonderful life is here. kayaking in silence with raptors above and gators on the side and mangrove tunnels ahead it was a magical afternoon. the only other magic we could have witnessed would be alligators singing but I could keep on dreaming going down the river. $99pp+ tax+tip= $approx 140 for 4 solid hours

“Great kayak trip with John!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 April 2012

Our guide John made everyone feel welcome and comfortable, and was a wealth of information about the Everglades and the creatures and plants that live there. We felt safe in our kayaks, even with alligators lounging just feet away. Highlight of our time in the Everglades! We highly recommend this tour, even for kayaking novices.

“I genuinly enjoyed kayaking with our guide & naturalist John exploring the mangrove tunnels and wildlife.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 April 2012

Have you ever paddled a kayak in a tunnel so narrow you had to use just 1/2 of your paddle, in the dark ( well we did have on a head lamp and a glowstick was on our stern) and there were alligators with thier eyes glowing like red hot embers? I did have this peculiar and most priviledged experience, We paddled close to a rookery with many snowy egrets, tri colored herons and other varied larger birds, viewed an inspiring sunset and were close enough to an otter that we could hear it smack it's lips in eating enjoyment. What a up close experience all those sights were. Very enjoable with a knowledgeable experienced guide.
