The Dunedin section of the Pinellas Trail is one of the prettiest sections, and has many great restaurants and shops to visit on Main St. right next to the trail. Don't miss the old train station that houses a historical museum.

While visiting with friends, we decided one day to do some biking. We picked up this trail in Dunedin, and rode up to Tarpon Springs, a trip of about 10 miles each way. The bike trail is extremely well looked after, signed, and used. There is very little contact with motorized vehicles, other than where the trail crosses an intersection. There are even markers on the trail, where you can supply information if needed, in an emergency. A very pleasant way to spend a few hours.

This is an amazing trail but the best spot for us is stopping in Dunedin. Be careful to walk or bike in the proper lane as the bikes can go by rather quickly if you're not careful. There are public restrooms along the trail beside the Caboose cage in Dunedin. It's very clean.

Mile 1 starts in St Pete and goes to Tarpon Springs. Great for biking, walking, skating! Section through Dunedin is awesome - shops, restaurants, breweries. Trail is well maintained and water stops along the way!

We so enjoyed walking from our condo complex to the Blue Jay's spring training park. They have one side marked for bicycles and one side for walkers so much safer than some multi-modal paths
