Great beach! Will be back for sure. They have a small shop, and locker rooms for changing. It is $8 per car for admission.

The Osprey nest was in a protected area because they were nesting, and could not be disturbed. If you had an awesome camera, like many people there did you could have taken a great picture but I only had my iPhone but it was cool to see them anyway. There were baby Owls and they were easy to see, the fluffy feathers, so cute. There are trails to walk around and it was a beautiful day. We walked around the beaches and the dog beach is a place you should visit. It was low tide and you could walk out and see the boats and all the dogs of course. We also went to the visitors center and there is some interesting history there as well, about how it got it’s name and about all of the animals on the island. It’s worth a trip to Honeymoon Island.

It was wonderful to escape the crowds and go do a more rustic beach. You could shell collect and see fishermen. Parking extremely plentiful...you simply pay a small fee to enter the park. There were concessions available in multiple locations. Lots of room for running around.

Beautiful white sand beaches. Clean bathrooms, bike rentals, plenty of parking and a cafe! We were not able to swim as it was too cold, but I will definitely return with my family. Great beach for collecting shells.

We have recently moved to the Tampa area and have been on the search for our favorite beach. We have visited Indian Rocks, Pass A Grille, Clearwater Beach and Fort De Soto. De Soto was our favorite...until we went to Honeymoon Island. For us the beach itself was probably a little better at De Soto, but the location of Honeymoon Island wins for us. We are in Oldsmar so the drive was so much better. Water was pretty clear and we liked seeing the city on one side and the gulf on the other.
