Our first visit to The Grove was a birthday celebration, and we were extremely happy with the choice. The rotating menu this week gave lots of great app choices, and could easily be an entre for smaller portions. Beet salad, mushroom soup, and local greens were all fresh and delicious. The quail entre was perfect for the holiday season with chestnut dressing and gnocchi. The chicken in brioche and snapper entres were also excellent. Don't miss the hazelnut donuts, and the flourless chocolate cake was even better! Nice service and attentive but not obnoxious.

This small restaurant is tucked back away from the busy Atlantic restaurants in Delray Beach but you won't be disappointed if you try it. The food is very well done and the service is excellent. We went here for our anniversary and when we walked in we received two glasses of Prosecco which was a nice surprise! We decided to have some wine too with our dinner and the wine we picked was very reasonable and enjoyable. You must try the Gnodi and/or the Portabella Mushroom soup and then the Brioche Chicken is a great choice. The bread we received before our meal was also warm and puffy so delicious. We truly enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere was very pleasant. Would be happy to go back for another delicious meal!

Well, we did it again. We went to stay in Delray Beach for a few days surrounding the 4th of July. We love the fireworks on the beach.

We had heard about the Grove on a local restaurant review TV show. The guests raved about everything from the warm welcome they received from the host (owner?) to the wonderful, decadent deserts. So, we gave it a try.

We made reservations through an online reservation service. Then someone, I assume is the owner, called to confirm early on the day which we had reservations and told us we could come earlier than the time we had reserved. The earlier time suited us, so we did. The host seemed a bit busy and rushed and quickly seated us at a small, intimate table in the corner on a banquet. He told us the waitress would be taking care of us and she was very sweet and nice. We had had a late lunch that day so I wasn't very hungry. I ordered the beet salad (excellent) and another appetizer as a main course. The waitress thought there many have been an issue with that. I'm not certain why but I got my food the way I requested. My husband had a swordfish dish that was fresh and tasty (his word). He also had a couple of glasses of Rose and ordered the flour-less chocolate cake for desert. I had a taste of the cake because I cannot resist chocolate! I'm glad I didn't pass it up. Everything we ate was fresh and very well prepared.

The atmosphere wasn't as intimate as I had hoped. We were sitting right next to a lovely "older" couple and somehow we ended up talking with them through the entire meal. So, we made new friends instead of being romantic.
