“GR8 Location,Very Nice...7/10”
Reviewed 18 February 2009

In May'09, my family and I stayed at Windsor Palms in a home on FanPalm Way. Our first impressions after passing thru security(who were very nice and sharpley dressed) was that is a very nice neighborhood with impeccable groundskeeping that seems to go on all the time. The communal clubhouse and pool area was fantastic and super clean. Our house was nice. By the way, you don't get to pick the house that you will get, they hand them out as they become available and as they see fit.

Bear in mind that these are not brand new homes and that they see alot of use. On that point, I will state a few minor problems we had. Our private pool area deck was dirty,as was the patio furniture, I cleaned it with the severely kinked hose. The pool lighting wasn't all working. Our kitchen breakfast counter had no stools. The vertical blinds leading out to the pool had a few broken slats. Master bedroom headboard was broken and there was no clock radio. It did'nt appear that whoever is responsible for checking these homes was actually doing their job very well. That being said, I called the office and asked for a clock radio and they sent one right away. Also they sent a pool maintainance guy down quickly to fix the pool lights. None of these problems really put me off too much, cuz it was way nicer than our house lol... but these things should have been seen to prior to our arrival.

Restaurants and grocery stores are all very close. Theme parks weren't far. We felt very safe there. We all loved the geckos,(except for the one that surprised me in the garage, lol), you see them all over the place outside, they are harmless. Socializing at the clubhouse pool was nice. Overall, it was a very nice experience and my whole family loved it there.

One thing that bothered me alot was that nobody comes to the house to check it over before you leave, they do it after your gone and the security deposit stays in their hands until it's done and you won't see your money refunded for at least a week or two. Although I got all my money back, I had an uneasy feeling after we left wondering if I might get blamed for something and wrongly charged for it,especially when the charges for a broken plate or glass is kinda high. Just beware and bring any problems to their attention asap as we did to protect yourselves. You also pay extra for pool heat and you only get one key,so keep it safe.

It's also true that you must,in order to register, must drive on Hwy192 almost to the #27 Hwy(look for the small helicopter in their parking lot on the south side of 192)a good ten minutes past Formosa Gardens Blvd, which is the connector road into the neighborhood. May seem a bit of a pain if you get in late.

Don't bring alot of clothes because the washer/dryer (buy detergent)will keep you in clean clothes. We did a load every night. When you get right down to it, you will almost never be in the same place twice,or see the same people,so you can get by with just a couple of outfits. There were plenty of towels in the house.Diswasher(buy soap) was nice.

We usually only ate out about once per day. For breakfasts, we bought frozen breakfasts, which were actually quite good and theygot us out fast. The house and neighborhood are very relaxing if you don't want to go anywhere.

Just go for it and have fun like we did!

Our family of 3 generations (and 10 members) stayed at a Windsor Palms villa managed by IPG. The villa was completely satisfactory in all respects and the service given by IPG at their office (at the western end of the I-92) was faultless. Everything worked like clockwork and the staff carried out their duties competently and in a most pleasant way..Will we use IPG again? Definately

We went for a fortnight to a villa at Windsor Palms, Kissimmee area November 10th to Nov 24th 08. Firstly we had to drive all the way to Clermont from the airport (great at midnight after a (delayed) 9 1/2 hour flight from England and 2 hours getting out of the airport), then you have to drive to your villa. The Windsor Palms villa where we stayed was in a gated housing estate with someone always on the gate - why can they not hold the key? The front door was in complete darkness too as it was in a porch, no one had left a light on for us to see to open it by.

The villa was clean and tidy with an enormous en-suite bedroom with 2 sinks & a walk in wardrobe. It also had a flatscreen telly and a clock. The other double bedroom was small with no clock and no telly and no en-suite, and the bed was only a 4ft 6 inch wide one - smallest double you can get (and this is America!). As soon as anyone sat on any bed, it creaked. You could not even turn over without a very loud creak. The headboards were all unattached too and banged on the wall! We had to stuff some blankets behind those, We suffered this for 2 nights and no sleep before complaining to IPG who just said they would contact the homeowner. After 2 more nights of hell we complained again and were fobbed off but we insisted they investigate but it wasn't till the Saturday (and we arrived Monday) that they sent anyone out to look.

They agreed the beds were totally worn out and would get new ones but not until the Monday as it was the weekend! I asked if we could be put up somewhere else for the 2 nights in between as we'd had hardly any sleep, and they said they'd 'see what they could do'. Nothing was done. We had a whole week, 7 nights of backbreaking, broken noisy beds. On the Monday the 2 double beds were replaced, but the 4 single childrens beds weren't. All I really wanted was to be given another villa, but that just didn't seem to be an option for some reason.

One roll of loo paper supplied in each bathroom, that was ok but there was no soap (and there should have been), so we had to use shower gel for the first nights before we could get to a supermarket. Also the patio door should have had an alarm or the pool should have had a cover for children's safety, but there was neither. We were lucky our kids were over 12 and able to look after themselves where the pool was involved. They wanted over $150 per week to heat the pool with electric or $300 for gas heating for the pool per week. We didn't bother, this is just too much extra after the price of flights and theme park tickets, it would be better just added on to the villa bill before you go.

One more moan, there was a 3 seater, a 2 seater and a 1 seater chair/settee in the lounge area, and this villa was billed as catering for 8 to 10 people. Not very comfy for 2 out of 8 people we had sitting on a dining chair instead. There was room for another sofa. The telly was an old fashioned one too and the remote needed a new battery.

Whether we just got a duff one or whether this is the norm with IPG I don't know but we won't be having anything to do with them again after 7 nights of hell.

It was obvious on first impressions that the "villa" was lacking in attention as there was notable mildew on the stucco exterior of the home.
Upon entering to the "Villa" we were greeted by the chirping of a smoke detector which had a battery that had failed.
All of the surfaces, especially glass, were covered by a thick layer of dust, this also included the decking around the pool. Almost every corner of the "villa" had noticeable cobwebs and patchy paintwork. What should have been a white bannister, was almost black (no exaggeration).
Only one dish towel was provided which was threadbare and had a golf ball sized hole. There were no other cleaning supplies provided.
Although the "villa" had a two car garage, it was inaccessible due to old furniture being stored in there and no remote opener provided.

Booked a townhouse in Windsor Hills Orlando through goldenflorida.co.uk in the UK. IPG are the managing agent.

Stayed in a three bedroom townhouse in windsor hills. Very clean and tidy and no problems at all. Splash pool had heating which we requested in advance.

Can easily recommend IPG and Windsor Hills
