Called yesterday, 4th April 2018.
Four adult meals and two children's meals. I had the 12oz Ribeye steak, medium grilled with salad and wasn't disappointed. One of the nicest steaks I've had in awhile. Certainly a generous 12oz and done to perfection. Another steak, shepherds pie and sausage egg & chips (Fries).
The two children's meals were both cheese burgers and fries. Portions the size of adults.
The pint of draught Guinness was good, but then again would be as it was the 1st alcoholic drink in 3 months.
The bill came to $111.00 which included pints of pink lemonade for the other five in the party
The lady owner was from Manchester and very friendly even though run off her feet.
I would recommend this bar for either a meal or just to get the feeling of being in a bar back home in England.
Now for the downside: five meals served up together but had to wait for the shepherds pie for some reason. We were all virtually finished before it was brought in. Why, I don't even want to speculate. It should not have happened, especially on the most easily put together dish.
We asked for a chocolate cake to go and was not charged.
This bar is at the junction of coming off the 192 onto the 27. Not easy to cross over the 3 lanes when returning from Disney.
That's a point, and nothing to do with the bar. I find that the drivers over here just do not want to give way to you. In fact they make a point to speed up when they see your indicators. The lane protocol is to pass either side, and cars, trucks etc do that constantly, lane swapping for no apparent reason.
