Stayed in a room with harbor view and the Bed and room was very small. You was unable to close the bathroom door without getting in the shower to do so. Could not get a good night sleep due to the fact that the bed was very squeaky and surrounded by a noisy street. Shower head in the bathroom was way to low for my husband. Paint was peeling off walls. The only good thing about this motel is that it was close to the beach and restaurants. But my suggestion is to pay a little more and stay some where else.

Granted, after recently staying at the outstanding Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego and paying a ton for a premium room, we were looking at saving some serious money for a 4 night stay. First impressions were not that good, however the final low down. Room very clean. Shower very powerful. Microwave, mini-fridge (working very well), and air conditioner, worked just fine. Our worry was the mattress at these kinds of hotels. It passed muster all 4 nights. Nice flat screen TV. Did not use their nice pool, but the ice cream stand by the pool was just to tempting not visit most days at least twice. Pure decadence since I do not do that in NYC ever. Beach just right there. This is an amazingly located hotel, but it is condo city all around. And do not expect any of the food around you to be exceptional. Clearwater cannot be everything. Free Internet was fab.

We booked a "junior suite" instead of a regular room. Checked into the hotel after dark and we were directed to the building across the street. It was an old motel surrounded by busy, noisy streets. Room was clean but basic. Paint peeling off walls. Beware of this when you make a reservation. The main "hotel" actually has many rooms with views. I feel we were scammed in upgrading to a "suite".

Room Tip: Insist on staying in the main hotel and not facing the busy street/intersection

The hotel it’s self is fine, it’s nothing spectacular and nothing fancy. However the beds are BEYOND BROKEN. You laid on the one to the right and literally rolled off the bed, it collapses and you fall off the bed. The other bed was on its way there, very uncomfortable, sunk in and woke up today with tremendous back pain. I am making a chiropractor or massage appointment first thing tomorrow. I would not recommend this hotel until their beds are fixed. $50 hotel for over $100, unacceptable.
