Some friends of mine found this little gem and I agree with them that this is our go-to for Mexican from now on. Good selection of dishes, beer, wine, etc., friendly staff always smiling and checking to make sure your happy. The food is real Mexican, fresh and delicious. Also love that you can buy just one taco if you are a light eater, no need to take home soggy leftovers. Only suggestion I would make would be to ditch the florescent lights for something more homey and flattering.

We have season tickets for a theater across the street and have noticed this little restaurant so we gave it a try. Food was good and more authentic than Taco Bell for sure. Plenty of food on each plate. Margaritas were good and reasonably priced, as was everything. Servcie was very good, food prepared, and served, within a reasonable time.

Staff was aloof and standoffish. We seated ourselves with only one other couple in the restaurant and still waited five minutes before we were even spoken to. We were then brought cold, stale chips and a liquid salsa with our menus. After trying these, we decided to leave due to the poor taste and uninviting atmosphere.

I was on the lookout for some real mexican food and stumbled upon this diamond in the rough - this place is tucked away on Roosevelt. It is small, but the tastes are large. Lots of menu items you won't normally see - cactus, seafood stew, pork skins, mole, and much more. The chips are light and tasty, served with their homemade spicy salsa. One bite of these let's you know your on to something. They also have a nice selection of Mexican beers. This is definitely going to be my spot when the craving for mexican hits.
