“nice place”
Reviewed 20 February 2010

We stayed at this hotel prior to going on a cruise. The hotel was nice, clean and the staff was very friendly. Our room was automatically updated to a suite. The only problem was there was not a bathtub, only a shower. Otherwise the room was spacious and the bed was oh so comfortable. The tiki bar by the pool was nice as the pool was pretty. It was too cold however to go swimming. I would recommend this place to anyone, even small children.

The beds at the Radisson are great because they are Sleep Number. The rest of the experiance was less then thrilling. The shower was horrable it had no water pressure and there was no reason for it as there was plenty of water pressure in the 2 sinks and the hot and cold gage didn't exist it was either hot or cold no in between.

Great rate. Good customer service before and during our trip. Complimentary shuttle to NASA and Cruise Ships. Nothing fancy but a good place to stay - just don't eat at the restaurant there - terrible food and worse service.

Stayed here 4 nights in Nov. 2009. Asked for quiet room and got one, far away from lobby. Unfortunately, that was also out of wireless reach (which we didn't determine, nor were we told, until we went through multiple phone calls directing us to "service"). Tough to find a parking spot at times. Sleep number beds were dreadful - lumpy in the middle, hard as a rock at edge, and neither of the controls (we had 2 beds) worked well. Kinda smallish room, not well-lit, small bath, but clean. Ordinary TV, fair to poor reception on all cable channels, and NO NASA TV, even though it was on the TV channel card (when I finally got someone to answer the front desk phone to query, they said that they didn't carry the channel; this hotel is on Astronaut Blvd., and it hosted the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation events. This says to me that they really don't care about who their potential guests are.) Not quite professional staff..... All in all, it's just an okay hotel. Don't expect a resort, despite the moniker.

We booked our stay over the web many month ago and the hotel at that time seemed the best around. The Radisson name is well respected around the world so even the earlier "warm" reviews didn't put us off.
The grounds and pool area are lovely and book in was quick and easy.
When first walking into the room in block 700 we were met with a dank musty smell which we ignored as we guessed it would go away after leaving the door open for a while (it did after 3 days)
First morning breakfast was very busy with many cruise line customers getting ready to go and eating, the food was Ok but nothing special. The second morning when we arrived for the buffet we were told that the buffet was only put on when cruise customers where at the hotel and we would have to al a carte whch was again nothing special though twice as expensive.
Internet access at the hotel is free and very slow and also very intermittant. In our room though we recieved a stong signal for me to connect the laptop meant walking the laptop to near the reception and walking backto the room . This was reported to the hotel and all I was given was a number to call .
The car parking is free if you can get into the carpark the boom gate was (still is) broken and though the staff know about the fault they seem to not remember as I and other people have reported it .

I realise that all hotels have problems, but this is supposed to be of a higher standard . contact the other local hotels till the hotel gets everything right
