The dining plans for my wife and I fell through on a Friday night. So, we drove to Firebirds. We have dined here 3 other times, and it's a dependable choice. We have always sat in the bar area, because there tends to be a wait for tables. If you sit in the bar area, sit on the side away from the entrance door and parking lot if possible. Otherwise, there is typically a lot of noise, especially around Happy Hour time (4-6:30 pm).
There is good variety on the menu. This time my wife got the cheese burger, and I got the Kobe Beef Meatloaf (one of the Firebirds Specialities) with a side of spinach salad. Both entrees were very tasty. The salad was excellent. Service was a little slow this visit. The kitchen apparently lost the order, and our friendly server, Jordan D, had to resubmit the order once she discovered the problem. I got my entree soon after getting the salad--not the pacing I prefer. We skipped dessert this time.
There are good choices for wine on the menu. On Mondays, Firebirds has "wine down Mondays". There are half-priced glasses and select bottles of wine then.
