A friend and I recently visited the excellent Seasons Buffet. I have been to Foxwoods as well, and several in Atlantic City, and the Seasons is just as good as my favorite in Atlantic City, the Borgata buffet.
Mostly everything was fresh, great variety, and lots of seafood. I don't like raw bar stuff, but they have lots of it! We went at the end of lunch time and ended up getting prime rib at the very end. In Atlantic City, they close the buffets between lunch/dinner, so I like how the CT casinos just keep the buffet going.
The only issues were with service. My friend got beer, and when we got the extra check for it, no one took his credit card. It was on the table for 10+ minutes, several servers walked right by us, and even came to the table, but no one took it. Eventually we had to pay cash instead. We were done and I saw them put out prime rib, so I had to have some. It was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and honestly, couldn't have been better! We were seated past the soups and several servers would gather too close to our table to gossip about bad tips and other discussions and it made us feel uncomfortable.
I will be back as the food is excellent, just hope service can be better, as it was better the first time.
