We stopped here for breakfast and were seated promptly. Our waitress brought us menus and coffee soon after being seated. Breakfast was good..I had a cheese omelet and an English muffin. Our waitress made sure we always had coffee. The place was busy, but we never felt rushed and had time to sit and enjoy our meal and talk. Nothing special, but good tasty breakfast food.

If you are looking for just basic, good food, Chip's is the place to go! The Chicken Francaise was delicious. Service was quick but not rushed. Very friendly staff!

I almost did not go to this place because of the reviews. Good thing I did not listen! Breakfast was great and so was the service. Pancakes were soo good and it was packed...so that says something about the food for sure. Yes a little pricey but worth it!

Food was good for the money. Four people ate breakfast and juice for $42.00 off the specials menu. Pancakes were the best of everything we had.

Worse Experience Ever! Made the mistake of returning and Giving Chip's Restaurant a second chance after a mediocre 1st visit, shortly after their grand opening!
My wife ordered a simple greek omelette with home fries and toast. The home fries were unrecognizable stewed potatoes that tasted as bad as they looked!
I ordered the Greek Burger that arrived looking more like a Greek Tragedy, the slices of tomato which are now in season here in Connecticut looked like they came from a wax museum, colorless and tasteless. The lettuce ( no exaggeration) looked like it was retrieved from a dumpster!
Our waitress who was very nice, cautioned us when she delivered our food, to be careful because the dishes were hot! Well, they were, but unfortunately not our food!
As we were paying
Our bill I mentioned our disappointment and specifically the stewed Home Fries. The Cashier/Hostess commented that she had noticed that The appearance of the Home Fries had changed as they went by her, and that She was going to mention it at their next staff meeting. In hindsight they should have been returned to the sender!
We couldn't wait for Chip's Restaurant to open in Southington and now we we know, be careful what you wish for!
