Amazing setting and location where i experienced two worlds coming together - peaceful world of the hills and the action packed mountains of adventure.
Kudrat is situated on a hill top surrounder by snow peaked mountains. Its all wood!!!!!
The view from kudrat is simply amazing. Kudrat is in an area which is Not a commercial area at all. Kudrat is an amazing place to leave the hustle bustle of city life behind.
I came a step closer to kudrat here as i discovered a new passion ... Bird photography. I clicked more than 20 different kind of birds in the area.
Kudrat is virtually in the lap of forest. A few minutes hike and one reaches apple orchards blooming away to glory.
The owners are a polite and friendly couple who know just about everything in the world- yoga, hiking, photography, fishing and above all chit chatting. Hospitality is amazing.
I did some trout fishing and yes i did manage to catch a trout. The water is v clean and worth chilling one's beer in. )1)
Those who dont want any kind of adventure can simply sit back and read in amazing weather of tirthan valley. The place has a collection of books and skylit reading room.
This is definitely the best time to visit the place.
Surrounded with lush greenery and in the midst of some of the most beautiful sceneries - Kudrat is an out of the world experience.
The whole place has been designed and built with a lot of heart and it shows in every small thing. The warmth exuded by Sudhir and his wife add to the charm. Loved it - especially since it was the perfect break me and my family needed.
Tip: Contact Sudhir before heading there - he and his wife will treat you like family and make it an unforgettable experience.
Up in the beautiful hills of the tirthan valley is a lovely homestay called “kudrat”.
my long holiday couldn’t have been any better if it weren’t for kudrat.
In the homestay is a beautiful little family of sudhir, bhawna and their 1 year old daughter kudrat after whom the homestay is named. Alongwith them are their helping hands renu, puneet, and roshan and their two bhutia pups laila and bulbul who are just as much cute as a dog can get.
Kudrat is a place that’ll bring your home to the mountains. Not once did it feel like we were elsewhere.
The food is a lip smacking array of homemade delicacies. The head chef bhawna is an amazingly talented lady when it comes to pleasing people, and she knows that it can’t be done any other way than through their stomachs.
The best part of the day would be when we sat around the bonfire at night and narrated various life stories to eachother. You can’t learn any better than from someone’s experience.
The trek was another lovely experience where we trudged upto the sharchi village, at the end of which we cooked some delicious maggi and filled our guts to contentment.
Icing on the cake was the fishing day. Be it taking a dip in the freezing cold waters of the tirthan river or having a lucky hand at fishing, every part of it was a wonderful experience.
By the end of my 4 day stay in kudrat, my bags got heavier with the “to be cherished” memories that were to be with me for a long time now.
Snow peaks in front and forest on the other side..
We were then only guests and had some great time interacting with the hosts. The staff was very helpful. Loved the interiors. Excellent homestyle food. Shall visit soon.
we had some amazing time in the mountains of himachal. This was our first time that side. And we were so lucky to book with Sudhir. He is an amazing host with good knowledge about the local culture. Most of the time we spent in the house itself- playing board games. Evening bonfires were outstanding. Lovely lamb we had. Sometimes we would go to the nearby village and just wander around. We walked all the way down to the river bed..steep but doable. I highly recommend staying at Kudrat.
