Had a too-large sandwich that was tasty, but ended up throwing about 1/3 away as it was just too much food. A tiny place with a limited menu, but prepared nicely with fresh ingredients.

So many sandwich shops use lame bread, lame deli meats and have no imagination. I tried this place recently and had what was probably the best pulled pork sandwich I've ever had. Awesome bread, clean pork, amazing mayo spread. Went back again about a week later and had an excellent roast beef sandwich - its hard to talk up a good roast beef sandwich but let me try: 6 ounces (the bigger size) or superb roast beef with a real beef flavor. No salty, fatty meat here. Today, back again: I ordered 2 bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches on sourdough bread (one for me and one for my wife) and once more, among the best I've ever had. Haven't tried any of the bakery stuff but it all looks great. Definitely a go to place for me from now on. Also: side note: not trying to diss the big chain restaurants and breakfast places, but I love to find one of a kind places like this that offer something different - sometimes, when I travel, I feel like all that's changed is the location but everything else is exactly the same: Outback Steakhouse, Cracker Barrel, McDonalds, Dunkin, Panera - all fine places but franchises in this country have sorta gone out of control. Cheers to a totally unique place like this.

A must stop if fishing, tubing, hiking, grabbing something for lunch or a cake to bring home. A small deli/bakery/pastry gem on route 44 in New Hartford/Pine Meadow. One of those finds you would read about on the Food Network. Try a key lime cupcake: graham cracker cake filled with a lime/lemon custard with a swirl of lightly lime flavored whipped topping. A chocolate ganache cake using dark chocolate. You know everything is made right there. Grab a sandwich, with an iced Harney tea, take it to go or eat at the place. Limited parking.
