Had lunch here. Excellent burgers and French fries also. Good selection of beers, many on tap. Nice location, you can sit and watch the people walk by. Friendly service.

We were two couples out on a Sunday of flea marketing. We all got hungry about 2 pm and started looking for an informal place to eat. We are glad we came upon the pub in downtown Old Saybrook. Everyone had something different and it was all great. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. The portions were generous and the price was reasonable.

Great food and service. Waitressing staff was very considerate and the food was pub style food. All went well.

We started with Scottish beer (Innis & Gunn) and a French blended red wine (both delicious). Saturday lunch was busy, lots of locals, lots of happy chatter. Some people waited in the bar for a table, but not for long. The restaurant is well-run and takes care of its customers, most of them local... the rolls and butter were tasty... I had crab cakes ( filled with crab and just a bit of added flavor and two side sauces) and a good, fresh salad. My husband ordered the shepherd’s pie, made each day in individual portions. He is something of an expert and said it was wonderful. Our waitress was sweet and efficient. Great lunch.
