Small, quite elegant room, with helpful service. Quiet, except for Italian radio station playing in the background! Seem to use a lot of different cheeses, which in my case is not a plus! But able to find a selection I could subtract the cheese from. Very small breakfast menu too.

Many restaurants and shops have come and gone in this very nice location. It's an easy walk from the center of town, and lots of bicyclists stop here. The food is simple and quite good. About eight flavors of gelato. Quiet and comfortable inside. A few tables and seats outside for nice weather. For some reason, they seem to be farro enthusiasts. I wish they had a slightly more extensive menu; perhaps two or three more varieties of panini. If you're in Old Saybrook at lunchtime, you should certainly try this cafe.
