My wife and I were running errands in different dire4ctions and decided to meet at Prime 82. I ordered a Manhattan and my wife had a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon. Our drinks were delayed due to the bartender spilling the ice!?!? The server said.
Our Server was Anna and was very attentive and professional. We had a second server who kept our water glasses filled but, I did not get his name. The restaurant was nearly empty on a Monday night with possibly four other tables filled. as well as a large group in a separate room.
I started with a house salad with Balsamic Vinaigrette dressing. It was a nice portion and I enjoyed it.
The Filet Mignon I ordered was done to my requested medium rare, with the top charred, the bacon wrap crisp and the center red and warm! Just like it is supposed to be. Kudos to Alex, the owner/chef (tonight, not always). The vegetables and risotto I had with the filet were good but not remarkable. I had a Louis Martini Cabernet with the meal which was a bit "Thinner" than the J. Lohr Cabernet my wife had. It is good to compare.
My wife had the vegetable Primavera and enjoyed it. Because she had the Chicken Vegetable "soup" (It was thick like a stew) first, she was unable to finish the Primavera but enjoyed what she had.
There is a four sided bar in the dining room that has a source of noise on other nights but, tonight was empty and did not affect our meal. On nights when the bar is full, quiet dining is not an option.
So, tonight we had a very enjoyable and tasty meal at Prime 82.
