We spent a good day site seeing in mystic. By the end of the day we were tired and were looking for a good place to unwind and have a good meal. We came across this little gem while walking through the streets and we were happy we did. When you walk in you feel transported back to an old fashion New England colonial tavern. My family enjoyed their meals, but I really Enjoyed the seafood risotto along with the best local brews.

the food is great in this restaurant. They also have daily specials. It is a little noisy in the place. The view is beautiful. We have eaten there many times and never had a bad meal. Good wine and drinks also.

We decided to have a tapas-like dinner based upon all of the great sounding appetizers listed on the menu provided by Tripadvisor. Unfortunately, none of the selections that we had hoped to order were on the menu. No Lobster Lollipops, Stuffed Artichoke Hearts or Wild Boar Sausage; instead we found some pretty run of the mill offerings. We were too polite to leave, and the building itself was interesting, but this was an appetizer menu that you could find anywhere- and possibly better executed. Maybe we should have ordered entrees instead, maybe it was an off night, but the next time we visit Mystic we won't be back.

We were on our boat and it started to rain, so we docked up and walked to the restaurant, we went to the bar part and ithe was really cool, nice atmosphere, people were nice and had drinks and appetizers. We had a lot of fun.

The food here was outstanding. Historic place circa 1754 that has charm. I gave it 4 stars because it was very loud and I prefer quieter but after a bit when some tables left it was ok.
