Want to catch the movie you didn't see when it first came out? How bout the movie that "never" came out in CT? Or a classic? Trinity - which also is a wonderful college - has a great little movie theater called Cinestudio. Go. Enjoy.
Beautiful campus, lovely people and the accommodations are wonderful but the campus surroundings can make one a bit uncomfortable if you are unaware.
The screen is big, the selction of movies is interesting, eclectic and not what you'll find in suburban cineplexes. If you love movies more than hype and franchises then Cinestudio is one of the best theatres in the state.
Surrounded yet by itself a green oasis in a town of gray. Harry Potter would be very comfortable in the Chappel or on the long walk
The great English architect William Burges desiged Trinity's Long Walk in the 1870s. It is North America's only Burges building and the finest example of collegiate gothic revival style.
Trinity College offers much for a variety of tastes and interests. The Chapel is a gem of neo-gothic architecture; and includes wonderful, locally symbolic carvings at the ends of each of the choir stalls. Classic high-Anglican but welcoming of all faiths. In the autumn, the Trinity Bantams showcase excellent NESCAC football featuring a very strong reputation for winning and disciplined, fair play. A good time is had by all fans. In the spring, the baseball team brings back the classic pastime on the gently sloping campus dotted with flowering trees. And through-out the academic year (and often beyond it), the Trinity Cine-studio offers a mix of classic and recent films of note. The prices are reasonable- and the general public has been responding to the ambiance and the progams for decades.
Finally, the library is open for vistors- computers are available when checking in at the desk. Trinity is truly a first class establishment.
