Katie & Tony's - Tang Asia Bistro provides skillfully prepared sushi along with delicious Asian dishes in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The menu provides a wide selection of appetizers, soups and entrees.

The sushi chef extraordinaire, Gilbert, is a true artist! We have to take pictures of each presentation before we eat it, they are that spectacular! The food from Tony's kitchen has also been fantastic ... flavorful and well proportioned. Do you like calamari ... Tang's was lightly battered and lightly fried perfection and for the true squid lover, try Tony's "Grilled Squid"! I bring a serving home almost every week to enjoy. (Ummm their sauce on the squid!) I like their "Japanese Seafood Fried Rice" ... quite filling and I just tried the "Tuna Dumpling" ... WOW going to have that again for sure.

The restaurant has been completely remodeled from what had been there before and the stunning new bar is our preferred spot to dine. (Love the bar top, lighting and ambiance. Sitting at the bar also allow us to converse with Gilbert and Katie, the warm and friendly owner/hostess/bartender. With such wonderful owners and staff, combined with all the choices, I just have to keep coming back!

Try Tang's ...you'll be warmly welcomed and satisfied.

We have enjoyed Tang Asia Bistro many times since they opened only a few short months ago. We are enjoying the food so much it's hard to go anywhere else! Since our first visit, we have enjoyed excellent, very friendly, welcoming service from all the staff. Katie and Tony (owners) have done a great job renovating to make the atmosphere warm and inviting. We love sitting at the bar and watching Gilbert, the sushi chef. His creations are AMAZING! The bar is so pretty with lights underneath glowing through the wood. There’s a big screen TV over the bar for those who want to watch.

We have enjoyed several of Tony’s cooked offerings – the soups are wonderful, and we love the grilled squid, and the Japanese seafood rice dish. Just a pile of fresh seafood – shrimp, scallops, crabmeat, and red snapper, lightly fried, on a mountain of flavorful, fried rice. Nothing ever tastes greasy.

Every bite of sushi here has been wonderful, tasty, fresh, and gorgeous. The tuna dumpling appetizer is fabulous – a delicious seaweed salad mixture wrapped in tuna. My favorite entree is the sushi/sashimi dinner (or lunch, a bargain at $12.50) which comes with your choice of soup. Gilbert has been surprising us with complimentary creations – a plate of beautiful fruit with different sauces drizzled over them, a martini glass with orange slices hanging over the edge, ice cream inside, and a colorful umbrella, and yummy sushi small plates that are hard to describe but heaven in our mouths.

Everything we order is almost too pretty to eat, and certainly photo worthy. Once when I ordered sashimi, it came with a candle inside a beautifully carved cucumber! Prices are reasonable. We’ve brought family and friends here and everyone is impressed.

And the mojitos – oh my – fresh mint, muddled, not too sweet, sooo good. There are many creative cocktails on their list, and of course, scorpion bowls. Lychee martini’s are another favorite of mine.

We are soooo happy that East Hampton finally has its first Japanese restaurant, and not just any Japanese restaurant but a superb one!! We wish these wonderful owners much success.

We had dinner with 2 friends early on Friday evening.
The cocktail and food menu offered diverse selections with fair prices.
Our server was very attentive and realized that we wanted time to chat and not rush. The vegetables and dried treats that were brought to the table were very tasty.
The 2 entrees which we especially enjoyed were the lo mein and shrimp with crispy noodles.

It appears that Tang is becoming quite popular.
We will return soon.

Read an article about Tang in the local weekly paper and decided to try it out. Great choice! This is far from your typical oriental take out restaurant. What a great find..Delicious food in savory sauce, above average portions and a nice variety of options on the menu. While a little pricey, it is well worth the couple of extra bucks for what you are getting! Their liquor license is pending, meanwhile, they invite you to bring your own wine or beer. I plan to become a regular patron!

My husband and I visited Tang for the first time on a Wednesday night around 7:00 for dinner.
The service was very good and our meals were excellent. Both of our dinners were under $15.00 and well worth it.
The waitress was very helpful and was able to have the chef prepare one of our meals gluten free.
Tang is located in the stop and shop plaza with plenty of parking available. The atmosphere is comfortable and clean. Good for couples or family.
They have a sushi bar too that looked very fresh.
Lunch specials are around $8.00 and the dinners are in the teens.
There are many interesting appetizer and meal choices on the menu.
We will definitely visit again.
