At a spur of the moment we decided to enter this restaurant for lunch. We had been walking around downtown Bethel on this lovely fall day. It was an off hour (after lunch and before dinner) we were the only 3 on the restaurant side the bar side had customers. We were seated by a lovely waitstaff woman. The menu was full of many unique entrees and appetizers and salads/ sandwiches. We ate a delicious butternut squash apple puree soup and enjoyed a delicious panini sandwich which came with either fried potatoes or salad. The sandwich was filling and the salad greens were fresh and crunchy!

Best part of the meal was dessert, we shared a chocolate fondu which was bought with pieces of fruit and fried dough. The chocolate was soo delicious we couldn't stop! The three of us laughed and enjoyed this so much! Our waitress came back several times to make sure everything
was ok and to tell us it was nice to hear us enjoying ourselves. She also prevented us from ordering two fondu desserts by being honest about their size being enough to share. This was very much appreciated. I will definitely return to this restaurant to try more entrees and desserts!

Excellent food, attentive service - all combined to make dining an enjoyable experience at La Zingara. We have been coming here since the restaurant opened years ago, and the food and service have held up admirably.

The only caution - it gets busy at dinner and, when it does, the noise level goes up considerably. Like many modern restaurant designs, sound dampening didn't seem to be a primary concern. So quiet conversation with friends becomes a bit difficult. But the quality of the food and service overcome the obstacle and still make us say - Highly Recommended.

Finally had a chance to have dinner here with my wife after hearing so many good things about it. Dining room was quiet, well spaced and not crowded.( it was a Thursday). Menu was more limited than expected but I don't eat much pasta so the narrows it quite a bit. Caesar salad was excellent but very small. Entrees were average at best. Service very good. I went expecting something special but it missed the mark.

Absolutely loved our dinner here. Wines were good, service was wonderful. But the food was without a doubt the star.
