While it might not be the most beautiful place architecturally, Sun Vail is a great place to stay for a trip to Vail. We've been staying there every year for several years now. It's a great value and even though it is about a 10 minute walk to the Gondola at Lionshead, the pedestrian bridge over I-70 is literally at the end of the parking lot. Inside the units we have stayed in give you everything you need. Again, it's not the Ritz Carleton but it is clean with a fireplace and kitchen. What else do you need for a Ski Trip? The locker they give you at Vail Ski-Tech also adds to the convenience because you don't have to drag your equipment back and forth.

A short walk to the Village is the only downside to this beautiful mountainside retreat. (Although we did it several times a day!) Second stay was just as good as the first. Family of six, very close to the supermarket, made it easy to use the grill and fabulous kitchen! I researched the Internet prior to our first stay, and for the cost difference, this place is second to none! Can't wait to book our next trip!

We are a family of five. Three big sons - 19 - 24. The Sun Vail Condos were perfect. We had a beautiful 2 bedroom unit overlooking the mountain. Plenty of living space and very tastefully decorated. Heated outside pool and hottub were fun too. You do have to walk across the highway bridge into Lion's Head Village but it takes about 5 minutes and we storred our skis there. If the boys headed into Vail Village at night - they hopped on the shuttle bus which runs continuously. We will definitely make it a tradition.

Room Tip: For best views, do not stay on the ground floor.

We stayed at Sun Vail to get in a little skiing and visit my father. He toured many condos and finally settled on this property. We were pleased with the condo itself, as it had all the necessary amenities for our trip and it was well-kept, clean and neat. The pool and hot tubs were also popular with my children! The view was spectacular especially for us mountainless South Carolinians

Room Tip: If you need a grill ask for a room with one, 1 or 2 rooms do not have one.
