Wife, 2 children and I stayed for a 4 day ski trip. Indoor parking, spacious condo, excellent shuttle services, clean and comfortable. Be cautious of fireplace, room filled with smoke. Management did rectify the situation to our satisfaction.
Shuttles ran frequently and had helpful staff that provided good suggestions.
Will stay at Simba Run again if we return to Vail.

I stayed here in January, then returned in March. Simba Run has quality accomodations, round the clock shuttle runs to Lions Head and Vail Village, personable front desk clerks and best of all a "wood burning fireplace with unlimited wood." My stay was enjoyable and affordable. Housekeeping only changes towels, so you'll need to clean up behind yourself. With thier low prices, I was able to squeeze in yet another trip in April! I love this place:)

We from Sweden enjoyed Simba Run very much. God service, nice people, reception as well as cleaning services. Large swimmingpool, jaccuzi outdorr jacuzzi - all is there. Good parking inhouse. Storage for skies and boots. Perfect shuttle, every 15-20 minutes and only 10 minutes trip (8am to 11pm) to the lifts/chairs/gondols in both Lionshead and Vail Village as well as the shopping and nightlife in Vail.. Did not really miss the ski in- ski out possibility.
Apartement fully furnished and equipped. In very good condition and good beds and bathrooms. A little bit too close to I70 but it did not disturb us as the bedrooms were facing the opposite way. Still the negative would be that it wasn,t next to the slopes, but despite that , when back in Vail we will return to Simba Run!

We were fortunate to be able to take a last-minute trip to Vail, which was our kids' first trip to ski in the mountains. We couldn't have been happier with Simba Run! We were in unit 1511, which has a great view of the ski hill, on the side nearest Lionshead. We never had to wait more than 5 minutes for the shuttle to and from the ski hill, which was about a 3-5 minute ride. We did have to wait a bit longer for the shuttle in the evening to go to Vail Village, but it still was preferable to having to take our car out to drive down there, find and pay for parking, etc. The unit in which we stayed had a bedroom with a king bed on the main level, and a small washer and drier was also on the main level. The second bedroom was upstairs (along with the kitchen and living/family room) and had a double (queen?) bed along with twin bunk beds, and its own bathroom. The unit was updated, with nice features like granite countertops and you could even build a fire with wood that was provided in the unit. We all loved the large outdoor hot tub, and the kids had a great time in the pool. The free movies were somewhat limited, but there were plenty of decent options available.

If you bring your own ski gear, the following may be useful information: One thing that we found made our trip easier was to wear our street shoes/boots on the shuttle and carry a bag with our ski boots, goggles, extra gear, etc., and head to Vail Sports in Lionshead, which is next to the Starbucks. You can sit on the benches in the heated indoor area and put on your gear, then rent a large basket for 24 hours for $10. We put our shoes etc. in there for the day, then when we took off our ski boots at the end of the day, we'd put them in the basket for overnight storage. Also, with the rental of a basket, you can leave your skis there overnight for $5/pair, which was a nice way to avoid having to carry ski gear around at the end of the day. Ask for Alex at Vail Sports - a very professional and helpful man.

Overall, Simba Run exceeded our expectations, especially for the reasonable price!

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Simba Run last week and loved it. We came to Vail to ski with some family who were staying at the Lodge hotel in the village. Since we couldn't afford to stay at the lodge we decided to stay at Simba Run, who was offering an awesome special for a condo. We could not have been happier with our accommodations. Simba run is a 3 minute drive to vail village and they have a shuttle which runs till 11 pm taking you to and from the village. Our room was really cozy and had everything we could possibly need including a fully equipped kitchen, toiletries, tv, fireplace, etc.. We had great views of the ski slopes from our condo. The manager was super nice and helpful as well as everyone else at Simba. I would recommend this place for families, couples, and friends who dont want to spend $500 a night in the village. We love Simba Run and will definitely be back again.
