Booking experience was positive with pleasant staff before, during, and after our afternoon arrival at the only hotel in town that's a snap from the past in bygone travel eras. It does offer WiFi and some extra sports TV channels via Shaw. There's an indoor pool noted, but we've never seen it or even used it. Given the hotel age, (I'm not sure what quality it might be, as I tend to be cautious about health risks with pools.) We were disappointed to learn that the restaurant had closed in 2015, after staying there years before. The ice machine was across from our room but a bit noisy. Our room had very poor lighting, unsuitable as a work setting. The bathroom has super-bright lighting though. The dark floral window curtains open to bare windows without the usual sheer underlays that help with privacy & lighting preferences. The beds and pillows were adequate for a good night's sleep in a quiet environment. The complimentary continental breakfast looks like meagre fare, consisting of small displays for making toast, cereal, juice, and fruit pieces. Cold drinks were warm and hot drinks barely warm. All in all, at least you have a bit under your belt to head out with in cool weather. The staff are friendly and approachable, but I expect the hotel will go the way of the restaurant in today's competitive market!

We got out of the tent for a night a wile back. We were honestly expecting your run of the mill place. This is such an awesome place with great people. You feel like you're staying in a smaller place. Very friendly and just made the experience awesome.

We happened upon this Inn on a road trip to Halifax. Its off the beaten path, but a great stop to enjoy this small village in the country. Its a couple of minutes by car to the town that is situated beside a river, hence the Covered Bridge; open to pedestrians, but not vehicles. There is an extensive boardwalk along the river and benches placed there for you to relax on. There are a few restaurants in town and more close by so there's a good variety to chose from. I think you need to hit the market day or a week-end celebration to take full advantage of this place, but for a night's stop over it was very relaxing and calming after hours on the highway. Breakfast included.

When I booked this hotel in June for my first visit, I was somewhat concerned about what I was getting myself into. The only hotel in town.... Was pleasantly surprised! Large room, clean, quiet even when full, comfortable beds, fast internet, satellite TV, satisfying continental breakfast...

Staying here now for business - last night, stayed at a large chain hotel and looked forward to coming here because the chain hotel was uncomfortable, small, inconsistent wifi and a TV remote that didn't work.

Does it show it's age in some respects - yes. But the boxes are all checked where it is most important.

We would stay there again. We aren't fussy at all with much. It definitely needed updating, however. Some paint would be a good start. The pool was SO warm, it was basically a hot tub. We had fun in it, but couldn't stay in too long due to the heat, as the room was hot as well. The people working the desk were very nice and helpful.
