We remembered this restaurant from a previous visit to Estes Park and thought it was wonderful. It is about 20 miles east of Estes Park. So one night we decided we would look for big horn sheep and drive over the mountain to this restaurant which would accomplish both. However, it wasn't a big success. We neither found any Big Horn Sheep nor did we overly enjoy the meal. Five years ago we had stopped on the way into Estes Park and had enjoyed a most delightful meal. This time, one couldn't help but notice the very worn booths. One couldn't help but notice that there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. While the food was fine, it wasn't the best Mexican we've ever enjoyed (unlike last time that made such a positive impression on us that we sought it out this time). It wasn't the worst we ever had either. It was "just an ok experience" which is not what one is hoping for a dinner out.
