The lilltle village of Sariano is about an hours drive from Milan. We stayed 5 nights here at La Palazzina in the Green Room, the biggest of the three bedrooms. The rooms are newly renovated and are airy, spacious and spotlessly clean. The bathroom, towels and bed linens are of 5 star quality. The house is full of interesting memorabilia and has a fascinating history explained to us by our charming host Giacomo. Delicious breakfasts of local bread, cheese, meats, eggs, homemade pastries and biscuits were prepared for us by Giacomo and served most mornings on the sunny terrace but indoors on cooler mornings. Giacomo and his father, Pier Luigi, went out of their way not only to make us feel welcome but also our friends who we were visiting in the village and generously allowed us use of his terrace for a day of picnicing with our friends.
If you are looking for an authentic b&b in peaceful Italian countryside you can't do better than this.
