“Great hotel on Main in Frisco”
Reviewed 1 February 2012

Hotel Frisco is located in downtown Frisco. Plenty restaurants /stores etc. on Main. We used our car to get to Breckenridge, Keystone and Copper Mountain. Driving there was fine even with our rental car; not a 4-wheel drive and no snow chains. Hotel Frisco is a splendid place to stay if you want to ski in these areas.

The hotel itself was very nice. Carpet everywhere, big entrance and a feeling of grandeur.

Upstairs is the library, sitting area, computer and a pile of games.

We booked one room with 2 queens for 3 adults. Closet was big and with all our skiing stuff and lots of luggage because we were going to be travelling around for 2 weeks we had enough room.
There was a huge safe in the closet but unfortunately it didn’t work.
The rooms were very noisy. We could literally hear what the neighbours were saying! One night we had neighbours with small kids and without earplugs they would have kept me awake. They could problably hear us as well.

Upon arrival the outdoor hot tub was not working. It was being serviced but we never got round to using it.

Coffee and tea was available throughout the whole day and was complimentary although one morning there was none left of our favorite flavour, the box was empty.

The staff was correct and helpful.

The hotel is pet friendly and we nearly had the big dog of our neighbours in our room. It tried to come in through the balcony.
Private parking is at the back and there is also a back entrance. Parking on main is at certain hours not allowed so nice to have private parking.

I never could get the internet to work at all - I mentioned it once and they reset the routers. I tried again the next day and still no luck. It wasn't a work trip and I could use my mobile phone so not that big of a deal. Our room (106) was very spacious with two beds. Plenty of room for us to spread out, cozy little gas fire place. Very large closet! I agree that some hooks for outerwear and gear might have been nice, but you could hang everything up in the large walk-in closet. We had a sliding door to the outside deck and we were right across the hall from the hot tub. No breakfast onsite and you don't want to gear all the way up for a day on the slopes to go have breakfast, so we dressed twice. Breakfast IN the hotel would have been a nice convenience. But there is coffee, hot cocoa and cider packets with hot water in the lobby. The beds were comfortable, the shower worked well and the folks at the front desk were very nice and helpful. $79 lift tickets for Copper - a nice price, the convenience of not having to wait in line. They just put it right on my room bill - super fast and easy!

Hotel Frisco was a wonderful find. First of all Frisco is a perfect spot, right in the center of all the major mountains. We would've stayed here exclusively if we didn't have hotel points/rewards to use up. The staff @ Hotel Frisco was amazingly helpful and knowledgeable about the town and surrounding mountains. This place is relatively small but feels like "home". Don't expect a resort like setting w/spa and amenities. Do expect first-class service and a relaxed cabin feel while sipping on hot cocoa, coffee, or cider. My only constructive criticism is that the mattress in my room (201) was a bit on the firm side and there was a balcony directly outside of my window where other hotel guests from the room next to us congregated. Rm 201 might not be best for those who want 100% privacy. Overall, I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. Thanx!

Room Tip: 201 window was up against the balcony of the next room. Could be a minor or major flaw depending on...

Looks nice, good location, but falls down on some basics. Example: fan in room stops working after 30 seconds, no hooks to hang up ski gear, nickel and dime you on extras ($5 for DVD player, etc). Good hot tub, comfortable beds, good location. Mediocre size of bathroom, size of TV. Decent and I would probably stay here again, but not amazing.

This was our second stay at the Hotel Frisco. We love the atmosphere, the quiet surroundings and the immaculate rooms. Sarah and her staff are always very helpful, they have the answers and some great recommendations. The location is perfect, right there among the great restuarants and shops, spas and hiking trails. (Something for everyone) We have visited in the Spring and in the Winter and were very pleased on both visits. More snow would have helped, but even Sarah and her staff had no control over that one. Thanks Hotel Frisco for 2 wonderful visits. See you in 2012!!!
