Awesome place that Heather Bryson has keep in excellent condition. This 3 story B & B is with in 5 min walk to down town Durango. Restored to it's Victorian elegance, but very homey and comfortable. Out side gardens add to the charm. Will visit again and stay for a train ride. We stayed on the 2nd floor and had our own private balcony and enjoyed the peace and quit of a residential neighborhood. Great breakfast.

We just had the pleasure of staying, for the second time, at The Gable House B & B. Both visits were very enjoyable. The B&B is a historic home in Durango, and when you arrive Heather, the owner, makes you feel right at home. Everything about the home is comfortable and inviting. We have stayed in 2 of the rooms, and highly recommend the room with the private balcony overlooking the beautiful garden. The B & B is located just far enough out of downtown Durango to not be in the "thick" of all the tourists, but close enough to walk to everything. She has ample street parking around the home. We were able to take a beautiful walk to the train station and the main downtown area in less than 15 minutes. Breakfast every morning was delicious, and Heather was very informative about the area and things to do. Meeting other guests/travelers over breakfast is always enjoyable. Durango is one of our favorite towns in Colorado, and The Gable House will always be our first choice when visiting. We will be back.

What a wonderful stay we had in Durango's spectacular Gable House! Neat, super clean B&B, and the owner is such a kind and considerate host. The history of the house adds to the charm and character of the old (but modernized) home. The lawn and gardens are lovely, the bed comfortable, and the breakfast delicious! If you reserve early enough, you may just get a 2nd floor room with an attached cover porch...a great place to unwind. We will return to the Gable House!

Well-appointed and comfortable, it is staying in a piece of history in a great location, a short walk from downtown Durango. Heather was kind and keen with helpful suggestions and delicious meals every morning! The room had a great bed and the shower was better than any hotel! The house was built in 1894, completely remodeled by Heather herself and you can tell the care and love of history and hospitality in all the details! We will definitely be back!

My husband and I truly enjoyed our 2 night stay. Heather, owner, was accommodating and answered all questions. Breakfasts were fresh and tasty. Parking off-street was nice and we could easily walk to downtown area as well as to catch the amazing historic Durango-Silverton narrow gauge railroad.
Recommend you leave the porch door open for more pleasant sleeping as only a floor fan to help cool the nice room.
