Arrived into Walsh's after a long drive up from the South of Ireland - I was welcomed by Rebecca (I think) - and I have to admit, I was immediately impressed by the front of house - She is a great ambassador for the hotel (I had spoken with her a few days previous and she seamlessly organised my accommodation nicely!) First impressions were of a small, but well organised and well run hotel - it was well maintained (although it was showing some wear and tear) - but nothing too bad! - food was perfect both nights I stayed (ate in the bar watching the rugby world cup games both nights) - food was top-class. Hotel room was spacious and perfectly clean - cannot fault it at all - In the room, there was a personalised welcome sheet from the hotel management - and some shortbread biscuits as a treat - (this impressed me a huge amount), along with the usual tea/coffee making facilities and still/sparkling water!
Only down side to the hotel is - no private parking (although I was able to park immediately outside the hotel every time), and its location was opposite a group of take away's which woke me up on the second night (I must admit - the hotel had supplied some ear plugs in the room - for this eventuality!) but this is certainly not the hotel's fault!
