There is plenty of free parking at this restaurant. Our party of two was seated immediately. Our server, Heather, was friendly and attentive and encouraged us to stay as long as we'd like. We both ordered Mexican food and were not disappointed. The half portion of the chicken chimmichanga is plenty of food for one person. Don't miss the sopapillas for dessert!

A small restaurant with both Italian and Mexican Food! I had chicken Parmesan which was good. The sauce is very tomato tasting! I think the restaurant is ready for a face lift. Looks rather worn! It was ok overall!m

Our last night in Denver and we had a very busy day. By the time we got back we were tired and hungry. Piccolo was recommended and it was only a 3 minute walk from the hotel.

The interesting thing about Piccolo is that it has a dual cultural menu. They serve Italian and Mexican food. This was evident when they served a basket of hot rolls and tortilla chips with salsa.

We ordered a half liter of the house red and both ordered basically the same dinner. Piccolo has a build you own pasta dinner where you can select your pasta, select your sauce and pick a protein. She had the tortellini with the traditional sauce and a meatball. I had the tortellini with marinara sauce and the sausage. You have the option of a half or full order. The half is plenty because you also get your choice of a tossed salad or a cup of soup.

Our entrees arrived and they were hot. As far as the taste of the entree it was rather average. The tortellini was cooked perfectly but the marinara sauce did not add much to the flavor. It was OK, but nothing I could not have made. The sausage was a bit dry but it was a little spicy. My companion said hers was pretty much the same. OK, but nothing special.

We ate there because it was close and it was recommended, but living in Chicago I am able to find much better Italian food.

For good Italian and Mexican food, this well established restaurant has been in its location for many years. The tables are a bit small, cramped and jammed together. The food is tasty and good proportions. Don't bother with the chips and "tomato sauce", but the warm bread is delicious.

I was surprised to find that there was still a Piccolo's open, after our local one closed years ago. It was enjoyable, but the menu is different, so we need to find new favorites. Great service for a busy weekday dinner. Good to see they are still a popular location.
