Review of Asian Cajun

Asian Cajun
Ranked #449 of 3,271 Restaurants in Denver
Description: This restaurant opened just under a year ago and has gotten lots of press here locally. This is one of the first Asian/Cajun restaurants in the Denver area. Though these are common in Texas and Louisiana. This restaurant is fun because it's three Vietnamese sisters who married guys from Louisiana and Mississippi.

OK, so Asian and Cajun don't seem to go together, but it works. I believe the restaurant is a SouthEast Asia family who started out in the South, then moved northward. Result is some really good Cajun dishes mixed in with some great SouthEast Asian dishes. Place is small and homey... get there early for dinner! Parking can be a challenge.
But, I highly recommend going to Asian Cajun for a truly excellent seafood dinner!

We stopped here after 10pm after a flight from the east coast... I was intrigued with the idea of Asian Cajun fusion. The pho was fine but they were out of tofu, that happens. The didn't drink then but they have a huge bar! The fried calamari was good and we asked for lots of the dipping sauces which were all good. Everyone ordered something different including lobster ravioli, jambalaya, and pho, and everyone ate it all, so the food was good. The portions were a little small but is what should be served....we didn't have any to go boxes.... It was fun to have the karaoke in the background. The service was good too.

I used to visit weekly with friends from work, the food is pretty good, I really like the Shrimp Po Boy, but there's many good items to choose from.

For a mixed cuisine the restaurant was pretty good. Prices were pretty fair. Loved the crawfish sauce. The prawns were bigger prawns not your normal size. Really flavorful.. If you like a good taste I would recommend!

After seeing several restaurants fail in that location. We decided to visit and was not the best decision. The place is very old, just patches here and there. We ordered food and it took over 20 min to come out. Food quality was cold and salty. If we are to help local business let's make sure the place and food is good.
