Our 2 night stay here in October 2016 was perfect. We came during the week (Tues & Wed night) and were the only guests. I suspect the weekends are busier though.
Accommodations:
The property is beautiful. 3 private bungalows amidst a rainforest setting. Nice pool. Tiki torches. The bungalow itself was spotless and had everything we needed. Air conditioning! Speedy wi-fi.
Hosts:
Steve and Sharon were very accommodating. They gave us a ride down into Mission Beach when we first arrived so we wouldn't have to call a taxi or walk. They maintained just the right amount of care and attention, without being overbearing.
Breakfast:
Your basic continental breakfast with fruits, breads, cereal and coffee, but with nice touches such as banana pancakes and a selection of fresh exotic fruits. What better way to start your morning than with a breakfast waiting for you when you walk out of your bungalow?
Location:
It's on a residential street on Wongaling Beach. It's a bit of a trek to walk down to Mission Beach, about 45 minutes along the water. Also, the closest restaurant to here is about a 10 minute walk. Definitely either bring/rent a car, or rent bikes like we did from a local shop for $15/day.
Surprise!
We did not realize when we booked that Steve and Sharon also help out local wildlife! We were pleasantly surprised when Sharon brought out two young wallabies during breakfast for us to hold and take photos with. We also had a close encounter with a cassowary and another older wallaby that wonder through the grounds. :)
