Family staycation in Canon City to ride the rail and zip line. Wanted to visit the Royal Gorge Bridge also. Decided to stay the night so we didn't have the long drive back. The room was average, carpet thin and bare necessities. The plus was a hair dryer and close location to Wal-Mart and a gas station. Makes stocking up on supplies and gas easy. Also close to restaurants. There's a pool and hot tub we didn't use but it was nice to have available. They also provide breakfast which was not haute cuisine but filling. Might stay there again or might stay at another place.

Large hotel that's past it's prime. In it's day it was top notch for visiting stars that names are on the doors. Staff is friendly but not very well organized. On site restaurant seems to be disconnected to the hotel. Neither knows what is going on with the other. A bit pricey but not many options here

Great location. What a blast to see rooms identified where Hollywood celebrities of years past have stayed. Clean, comfortable, quiet room. Slowwww internet. Helpful and courteous staff. Didn't use the outdoor pool so can't speak to it. Well kept grounds. Nice, safe parking lot. Average breakfast fare; attendant had trouble keeping it stocked and clean.

Room Tip: Ask for a room to stay in where a famous person/Hollywood star has stayed.

I stayed at this motel several times over 30 years ago while attending swim meets, now I stay here with my kids each year when I take them to swim meets. Nothing fancy or super special, but it is very clean and comfortable and has nice facilities including a game room, two hut tubs, a pool and a nice lobby.

Friendly, helpful staff. Could be fabulous, but needs to be restored. Nice restaurant and bar with an incredible mixologist. No elevator. Many famous people have stayed in this hotel and it is obvious that it was originally a gem. If you can look past the tired and worn appearance, it is an OK place to stay. I would rate it below average, but not poor. One night in double queen room was $109.
