We thought the price was a bit expensive, until we realized how much was included. We only had a hour to spend here and I wish we had more. The views are incredible and the history is fascinating.

We took the family here on a recent trip. The views are amazing of the gorge and surrounding mountains. We first took the gondola to the other side and walked back across the bridge. The kids liked the little playground on the south side of the park and also liked riding the carousel. If you would like a real adventure, they have a zip line that crosses the canyon and a swing that takes you over the canyon as well.

The walk over the bridge was a little intimidating as the wind was blowing around 20mph when we visited. The wood planks were also interesting to walk on as some of the gaps gave you a good view of the river below.

Overall, we had a good time and would recommend stopping if you have never been here before.

We had just missed the Royal Gorge train as their GPS co-ordinates are about 20 miles oit. We were driving back to Golden after that and saw the sign for the bridge and visitor's centre. The centre itself is spacious with a great gift shop. The staff were knowlegeable and helpful. We opted to take te gondola across the Gorge which was quite awe inspiring to be 1,000 feet above the river. We walked back over the old bridge after checking out the carosel - great for kids and fun for adults !!! it was not hard to drop some dollars in the gift shop as there were many quality items at very good prices. We are very glad we stopped here.

This was my third visit. The first was as a kid in the mid 1960's when you could drive over the bridge. That and seeing deer is all I remember from that trip. The second time was in the late 1980's with my own kids. This time was with my 7-year old grandson. Maybe a little pricey. Since it was winter not every attraction was available but it also wasn't all that busy. If my grandson had been 10 we would have definitely done the zip line. The views are fabulous even though my grandson is still mad that it wasn't the Grand Canyon :) The playground was an added plus for all the children running around. The film that talks about the history and the rebuild since the fire was interesting. The food in the restaurant was actually good. All in all, it was a good outing.

We wanted to take in the natural wonder that is Royal Gorge and the best way to do that is to visit Royal Gorge Bridge and Park. For $55 for two people (if memory serves) you can enter the park, ride the gondola across the gorge, walk the bridge across the gorge, and take in the short movie that explains the interesting history of the gorge and park. Prices are a bit steep but I thought it was worth it. For extra fees you can zipline across the gorge and/or ride this giant swing; neither of which we did. My best advice is to get there early because it's a bit of an amusement park and as it gets more crowded, those of us who aren't fans of touristy type attractions may find it gets annoying. We stayed about 60-90 minutes I think which was plenty. There's food there but we didn't partake. Families would definitely have fun here; some of the walkways are steep and not accessible.
