My family and I stayed at The Charter over Spring Break in March. We arrived on a Sunday and left on Saturday. Our room was spacious and clean when we arrived. We had two bedrooms- one with a king, the other with 2 full-sized beds. Each bedroom had their own bathroom and tv's the full-sized room also had a small refrigerator and small bar area. The king room had an additional sink on the outside of the bathroom to allow for one person to be in the barhroom and one to be putting on makeup, etc. The full sized kitchen was convenient, as was having the washer/dryer combo. We had a patio filled with firewood, but it was so warm while we were there, we never were able to take advantage of the wood-burning fireplace.
The housekeepers were friendly and helpful. The ladies kept our rooms nice and neat. It was a great treat to have a break from housework while on vacation- very relaxing for Mom!
The sofa in the living room had a pull- out bed. The room could have slept 6-8. (we are only 3)
This was a very homey room and we enjoyed our stay.
We were with a business group and were provided breakfast each morning. The food was delicious, and wait staff friendly and helpful. Great start of the day before taking the shuttle to the slopes. The shuttles run often and when taking equipment, it is the easiest way to get everything to the lifts. It's an easy walk, although many sets of steps, to walk up to the village.

I recently stayed at The Charter in a 2BR condo and I was really impressed. What this place lacks in updated and trendy styling it makes up for with great service. The rooms were extremely comfortable and the staff was accommodating at every level. The Charter has everything you need to make your beaver creek vacation perfect.

Overall, I was consistently surprised by the level of service. From housekeeping, to ski equipment rental, to general concierge service: this was probably the best service I have ever experienced.

I would definitely recommend this place to a friend.

Room Tip: Choose a room with a balcony that faces a ski mountain (the west side).

This is our third family trip to Beaver Creek and our first say at The Charter. My husband was not thrilled with the location when he looked it up....he insists on staying close to the village. He even called the reservation desk and asked for a room that would be the closest walking distance to Beaver Creek Village.
After a delayed flight and a long drive we arrived around 8:00pm and were instantly greeted by the staff who helped unload the car (including groceries) and took everything to our room. I chose a 1 bedroom 'apartment' that had a sofa bed for our 8 year old and it worked perfectly. My only complaint about the apartment, besides the dreadful Indian themed decor, was the shower. You had to practically do a dance just to get all of your body wet. :)
I would not consider The Charter to be ski in/ski out property, but there is technically a path you can follow to pickup the Elk Horn lift. It is a short walk to the village, even in ski boots, and the bus runs pretty regularly. They have a ski and board rental store on site that has more than competitive prices and good equipment.
The new lounge/restaurant serves decent food and is very family friendly. In fact, the entire facility is family friendly and it is obvious that the staff works hard to make everyone's stay pleasant. We have already decided that we will go back to The Charter for next year's family ski adventure.

The location is good. Not ski in ski out, but the bus comes by very often. There is a ski valet with hot chocolate and marshmellows when you come in off the bus. The staff was great. Everyone was so helpfull and nice. The rooms are a little dated. A little $ and it could be great. The counters are old formica. The TV was an old tube type. There were no drawers to put your stuff in. To charge the prices they do the should force the owners to upgrade or they need to lower their prices. I will compare other places that are closer and more updated next time we go to beaver creek It's a nice place but the old feel makes it not great. It could be though.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that has been updated recently.

We just returned from our first visit to Beaver Creek and The Charter. We weren't sure what to expect and it exceeded our expectations. We requested a room close to the lobby and the pool area and also an updated room. We received everything we asked for. Our room was beautifully furnished, very comfortable and had a nice view of the slopes. We felt very at home. The staff were all helpful and friendly. The pool and hot tubs were great at the end of the day and we also enjoyed the fire pit to make smores. The shuttle was very short to the village and you could also walk it if you feel like it. We filled out the grocery list before we went and it was nice to have the kitchen stocked when we arrived. We loved The Charter and will definitely return.

Room Tip: if you don't want to walk far, request a room in a building close to the lobby. Also ask for a r...
