Go for the high end chocolate. Sushi looking chocolate! Don't look at price, just buy.
Nice wine, clothing and art shops too. Some restaurant construction underway.
Worth a stop.

This is a nice little market place to wander around if you are getting tired of the winery trail thing.
If you're driving and want to emerge yourself in the complete wine experience, don't miss this shopping area, Beringer Winery and Old Downtown Calistoga.
The dozens of shops in this beautiful, old timber-framed 1870's building are a treat and great place to find art, decor and gifts related to the area's wine making. If you grought your pickup or large SUV, take home a deck chair made of wine barrel staves or a large picture of the beautiful valley - complete with vinyards, old barns and stone fences.
Whenever I have people visiting from out of town, V Marketplace is one of the places I always take them to. There are lots of shops to visit and great food to taste, whether it's at a nearby restaurant or at the chocolate shop in the main building. I love to play tourist and come here.
I went shopping at V Marketplace. I usually do a fair amount of shopping at Napa Style (Michael Chiarelllo place). They were already doing 70 per cent off sales in early December. The amount of goods was limited from what is usually available for purchase in December.
I did go to Koller Chocolate - amazing colorful chocolate and purchased some for presents.
They have art galleries, a wine store and some bars and restaurants such as the popular Bottega Restaurant.
However, this year it seemed somewhat lacking in things to purchase so I have rated it average in terms of shopping.
I like the brick building it is in. We don't have many brick buildings in California due to earthquakes, so its always intriguing and beautiful to see V Marketplace.
V Marketplace is not a place to go if you want some chain store. All of the outlets are boutiques with lots of very interesting things to offer. A lot of the items are, not unsurprisingly, wine related.
My wife loved this place.
