When planning our trip to Yosemite, where to stay was a difficult one, all the hotels in the valley were either booked up or way over our price range, we looked at the camping option but frankly we just didn't want to rough it. Then we happened upon the Redwoods in Yosemite website and after much deliberation we chose Arnett's cabin.
From the minute we arrived and were checked in by the friendly and helpful Autumn on reception, to drawing up outside the cabin and peeking inside, we knew we had made a very good decision. This cabin is a perfect place for 2 people to come and enjoy the peace and tranquility of this lovely part of Yosemite. To say it is well equipped is an understatement, it literally had everything we could need and more. The bed is comfy, the fridge is huge (by your provisions in Oakhurst on the way, we recommend Vons) the deck is spacious with lovely places or relax, the barbecue is gas fired and so great my husband now wants to buy the same one when we get home!
We stayed for 5 nights and went to the valley on 2 days, (40 minutes drive) one day we did the Mariposa Grove with the giant redwoods which is about 30 mins away, one day we did Glacier Point and Sentinel Dome which is over an hour, bear in mind the speed in all of YNP is restricted to 35mph so you don't get anywhere fast. However with the stunning scenery and views available, who wants to rush. There is an amazing waterfall (Chilnualna) about 15 minutes walk from the cabin and Wawona is just a few minutes drive away.
We loved every minute we spent here and would stay here again if (hopefully when) we return, we cannot recommend this place highly enough.
