Love the hotel, location, and restaurant. The pool was great. The staff was great. Very family friendly - our kids had a blast. We stayed for three nights. I would definitely come back again. Great launching point for Muir Woods and Angel Island.

Great location in Tiburon. Easy walk to a number of really nice restaurants. The area does not have the hustle and bustle of San Francisco, and it was wonderfully quiet on my morning walk. All of my interactions with the front desk staff Were underwhelming. They seemed aloof... almost irritated that I was interrupting them. The rooms were excellent. Clean, great bed, nice sheets, nice towels. The walls were a bit thin as we had a family with an infant next-door, and screaming kids woke me up. The hotel restaurant had some really nice wines by the glass, and some great beers on tap. Had fish and chips for lunch... very tasty, but good thing I wasn’t hungry as the portion of fish was small, but fresh and hot from the fryer. Restaurant was not busy, but wait staff did not seem overly attentive.

The Lodge at Tiburon is set in a small town setting, while offering easy access to San Francisco, and Sausalito. Great folks and very nice rooms. I stay there for business and it works well as a conference location as well.

We were pleasantly surprised by how comfortable our room was, as the exterior areas of the hotel are a bit shabby and motel style. The walls are not well insulated so you can hear others’ noise but otherwise it was fine. Bathrooms are not updated but clean. Beds were good. The welcome bag was a nice touch.

Room tip: Ask for top floor.

We stayed for just one night but really enjoyed our room. It was clean, with enough space for us and our luggage and the bed was really comfortable. We even got an upgrade to a room with balcony :-) Our room faced the pool, but we didn't find that disturbing since the pool area is closed after 9pm. It is true that the hotel exterior looks really nice in the front but a little old in back where the rooms are located. But this did not bother us at all since the rooms are nice and look as if they were renovated not too long ago. We did not use the pool since it was cold during our stay, but we really enjoyed the outside fireplace with rocking chairs! The man at the front desk was very nice and gave us recommendations for local restaurants. The restaurant at the hotel looked good, but I can't comment on the food since we went to other restaurants nearby for dinner and breakfast. Tiburon is a very cute village, I think we would have enjoyed a longer stay. The location is also great fort rips to the Golden Gate National Recreation Area or San Francisco, just a 15 minute drive from the Golden Gate Bridge. There is also a ferry directly connecting Tiburon with San Francisco, it's just a 5 minute walk away from the hotel. The rooms are a little expensive, but that applies to most hotels in or near San Francisco. And the quiet location is worth the extra money compared to motels next to the highway.
