This was mine and my 10 year old daughter's first time doing any type of ropes course like this. We did the Monkey course. It was challenging and fun! We started with the green circle courses and worked our way through the blue squares. We really wanted to try the black diamond course but we did not have enough time. It gives us a great excuse to come back again. This was the perfect activity to break up several days of snowboarding. My daughter can be a worrier but she was so confident in completing these courses. It was wonderful to see her attack these courses and feel so accomplished and proud afterward. Thank you Tahoe Treetop Adventure Parks! We'll definitely be back again.

Sidenote: Their confirmation email gave instructions to wear comfortable shoes. I kept that in mind and wore regular athletic shoes, but did not think about having to walk through the snow on the ground! I recommend wearing some sort of waterproof or water resistant footwear.

This course is awesome! There are 9 courses of varying levels so everyone in the family can enjoy the experience. 2 1/2 hrs doesn't seem like very long but by the time you finish, you feel like you've had a full experience. Definitely recommend.

We take our grandkids on a spring break vacation every year. They are 9 and 7. We made our reservations months in advance online and hoped the weather would cooperate. It was a warm winter day when we arrived for our reservation at 11:15am. We checked in with no problem. The staff was super nice and relaxed while completely professional. I did the Flying Squirrel course with our 7 year old granddaughter (I'm a healthy, fit 62) She is athletic and adventurous, but very short for her age. The beginner course was easy for her and the intermediate course was a fun challenge. This was her first time zip lining and she was initially intimidated. She ended up conquering her fear and going for it and loveed it. She navigated the intermediate course several more times without me, including the zip lines. She declined the Black Diamond section of the Flying Squirrel course. It was significantly higher and I supported her decision. Our 9 year old, very athletic, grandson completed the Monkey course and was allowed to try the Black Diamond part of the Flying Squirrel course. It was perfect for him! He did not attempt Black Diamond on the Monkey course.

The staff was very safety conscious. We all wore helmets and staff buckled the safety harnesses onto us and showed us how to use them. They explained the rules and remained in the area for questions and assistance, if needed. Parents supervised their children.

Since we only live a couple of hours from Tahoe City, we will return in the summer to try it again.

Terrific time in the treetops! Great staff, top-notch equipment, very safe. But please, if you or your child are even slightly afraid of heights - don't push beyond the green or blue courses. They are plenty challenging enough.

We were stuck for almost 30 minutes waiting for a young child to decide whether to continue on a "black diamond" course. The staff was patient and encouraging but geez, the parents should NOT have encouraged this youngster to do one of the most difficult courses. The staff ended up having to belay the child down.

Other than that, it was super fun - and what a trip to be sailing over the snow-covered ground.

Only suggestion would be to have a map of the courses. But, there were plenty of staff folks around to direct us. It just would have helped us manage our time better - especially after the 30 minute delay. Worth the $$, will go again next time we are in the area.

Our second time there - Tahoe Vista site. First time in the winter. Both very fun experiences. I recommend dressing very warm, gloves and dry feet are a must, in the winter. The option to utilize any of the 3 courses (beginner, intermediate and advanced) are key at the Tahoe Vista site to ensure that everyone in your group is challenged appropriately and has a great time. Staff is awesome! We had adults and 7-12 year olds in our group. Everyone had fun.
