To many, the food, wine, restaurants and bakeries of Solvang can be the highlight of their visit. But for me, this was clearly the highlight of our family’s trip.
History and art is very important in a culture. The museum is housed in a ‘historic hand-crafted structure’ styled to Denmark’s 18th century farmhouses.
The photos, artifacts and video depict the pioneering spirit of Danish-Americans. The gallery is spacious, and the surroundings just echo the colorful heritage of the Danish. The diorama was definitely a favorite of mine.
If you desire to know Solvang’s history and the heritage of Denmark, then this should be the first place to visit.
