In spite of being very busy on a warm Sunday the service at Copita was very good. Our food arrived quickly and the waitstaff were quick to respond to requests. Our dishes were a a bit mixed in quality. So three stars for food plus five for service equals four. Try and get a table on the patio.

We stopped by for lunch on a Sunday afternoon and sat at a patio table patio so we could enjoy the beautiful Sausalito weather. We ordered the guacamole and a variety of tacos (carne asada, chicken tinga and pork belly). Our server knew we had a time limit (had to get back on the tour bus) and assured us we had plenty of time to enjoy our food -- which we did! It was a nice relaxing lunch with delicious food and great staff.

I am Brazilian and visited this place right after Brazil win over Mexico on the World Soccer Cup, but they showed no resentments. (lol). The service was great and the food awsome.

We visited Sausalito late in the afternoon as the shops were closing and the restaurants were opening. We arrived at Comito before the crowds and though it was fairly empty were out at the back by the toilets next to a noisy family ( we were three adults), so the food service and prices were gong to need to be good. Meno had reasonable choice and the drinks list would not disappoint anyone. Service was very friendly and the food choice came quickly. My order was listed as a “big plate” but I was shocked to find it no bigger than a starter course. The food tasted good, but I was left wanting more, but in no time the waiters had cleared the plates and dumped desert menus on the table. I was now getting the picture - fast table turnaround as the restaurant was filling up. They forgot to bring my drink order, but did bring the bill before we had a chance to order coffee. The bill was full size, even though the meals were not. A bit pricey for what we got and very noisy, especially if you are put in the family section.

This was our first day in San Francisco after arriving on the cruise ship Celebrity Infinity. We took the Blue Gold Ferry to Sausalito and walked around before deciding to come here for lunch.

We arrived around 12:45 and the restaurant was busy but we were able to get a patio table within 5 minutes.

My spouse and I had the following:
• Oyster Taco ($13) -, deep fried tomales bay oysters in corn meal with cabbage slaw and a serrano aioli. You can also a large order for $24. There were 2 lightly breaded oysters per taco. Tasty dish.
• Tres Al Pastor ($12) - achiote marinated, spit roasted pork with roasted pineapple, onion and cilantro served with in-house made corn tortillas. Tasty tacos.
• Coctel Mixto Ceviche - ($17) - Maine lobster, bay scallops, flounder, tomato, orange, serrano, and avocado. Tasty (slightly tangy) and fresh dish. Good chips served with dish. I enjoyed this dish.

We were served complimentary jicama and cucumber sticks dipped in spices and lime juice – tasty.

The total bill before the tip was $45.68.

Ratings Breakdown
• Quality and taste – above average at 3.5+ out of 5 rating.
• Portion size vis-à-vis price – average given this is a tourist area. Being Canadian it doesn’t help that we have to pay an “extra” 30% because of the weak Canadian exchange rate. 3.25 out of 5 rating.
• Service – No complaints about service. Entrees arrived fairly quickly. 3.5 out of 5 rating.

Overall, an above average eating experience trending towards good that’s rates a 3.5 out of 5.

Notes & Tips
• Small outdoor patio
• No complimentary salsa and chips
• Check out the restaurant website.
• Short walk to the ferry terminal
• There was a very busy burger takeout outlet next door.
• Our original plan was to visit Sausalito and Muir Woods. We decided against Muir Woods because we were there a couple of years ago. If you do not have a rental vehicle or paid tour, you can book a self guided tour of Muir Woods. You need to book in advance the bus for which there is a nominal charge. You cannot go to Muir Woods without a reservation. Go to Muir Woods website for additional information.
