Our 2nd home in California at least for a few days every year. inludes great location and breakfast every day, with evening snacks and wine every week day. Convenient to many restaurants and a short walk to Big Basin Cafe for the best pies anywhere.

We stayed here because of its proximity to a wedding that we were attending. We were really pleasantly surprised by how nice the hotel was. It is located in a small valley, with the top floors having an entrance at street level to the town of Saratoga. The bottom floor, where the lobby and parking are, is next to a forest with a stream running through it. From our upper floor room we could hear the stream and look out at a dense forest. This was a welcome break from the generic chain hotels that I normally stay at. We had our complimentary breakfast outside, on the patio near the stream. Saratoga is not as interesting a place as Los Gatos. It does have a large Japanese Garden with Coastal Sequoia trees.

Wonderful hotel in Saratoga - just down the hill off the main street, along a little brook. Tastefully appointed rooms, with a well designed deck off the main lobby. Friendly staff at the front desk. A very restful stay.

This is a beautiful, clean hotel with many amenities, and a cost to match! But no air conditioning! Our room was hot! The afternoon sun shining in our room didn’t help. We opened the patio door, not a slider so no screen. When time for bed had to close door, but it was 78 degrees in there! Finally got the windows st floor level open a few inches, but by early morning it was too hot to sleep. We packed up much earlier than planned and left at 6 AM. They just oh sorry about that and offered no comp. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel, California hotels need air!

I hadn't been to this hotel in 25 yrs. it hasn't changed much in all that time. It is quiet and private and in excellent condition. No pool, nice outdoor eating area when the weather is nice for breakfast. It is located in a quite part of town of the town of Saratoga. It is across from a city park. You can view the creek that runs alongside of the hotel. Parking is not covered. That day didn't have a problem getting a parking space in their parking lot. It is walking distance to the downtown of Saratoga City. Small gym.

Room Tip: Get a room over looking the river.
