We stayed in the aptly named "jungle rooms" at the Biltmore Four Seasons resort. The property is so lushly and beautifully landscaped, it really felt as if we were wandering through a private oasis. It is important to realize that this is very much an authentic historic property, which should somewhat limit expectations for the pickiest and most demanding travelers. Although our room was lovely there was, at first, a slightly noticeable mustiness that I've never experienced at any other Four Seasons. That said, we got used to it and just enjoyed this notable hotel. Although it is located on the beach, we didn't realize that there aren't cabanas or service shoreside. Instead, you can utilize the private pool club and position your chairs facing the beach, albeit through a wind-breaking plexiglass.
Two things not to miss: the most beautiful bike path we have ever seen, just a short way from the hotel & a massage in the spa. Ours with the immensely talented Victoria was a revelation!More
