Ernies is located on a corner 14th street and easy to reach. This restaurant is NOT formal at all. A few booths and a couple of tables but the food, mostly fried, is wonderful. There were four in our party. We split an order of fried clams before turning our attention to our entrees. I, a lover of scallops, ordered a scallop po-boy sandwich which came with fries. The sandwich was great...bay sized scallops on a hamburger roll which was warm and fresh. The fries were average at best however. My daughter had seafood pasta...cooked in a delicious sauce and shrimp, mussels abound. Her boyfriend had clam chowder to begin and rated it delicious. His sandwich was crab...not a crab cake but he also rated it delicious. Our fourth member had a small seafood platter which had 4 pieces of cod, 5 shrimp and sand something else. She was kind enough to share a shrimp and fish...both were very good. With drinks, the bill was less than $70.

Tasty fired fish at a reasonable price. Not fancy place but is good service. Bden there a few times and there is always a good mix of people in an interesting local space.

Good menu in a "cut-above" 1950's style diner. Breakfasts are solid, lunch and dinner range from sandwiches to a decent selection of seafood, some of which ends up in pasta if you like. Some locals swear by the steak sandwich

Traveling and happened to see this place while looking for a place to stay. The outside wasn't all that impressive, but as it wasn't a chain restaurant, that made it more intriguing to check out. And I'm glad we did. The food and service were excellent. A family-run restaurant with everyone helping out made it all the more authentic.

I had the fish and chips which was excellent. The batter was light, not greasy, I would call it panko style (it wasn't listed on the menu as such). This allowed the flavor of the cod to come thru.

My partner had the grilled chicken salad. The chicken was grilled to perfection you could tell. You could press your fork against a chicken piece and some juices would squeeze out. The salad came with their version of croutons: tiny pieces of buttered toast. Odd but it worked.

We enjoyed the place and would definitely come back in the future.

In the mood for fairly priced seafood. This place doesn't dissapoint, I love the fried seafood here. It is not greasy at all and delicious, you have to have the fried zucchini as an appetizer.
