This is place is a bliss in the middle of San Jose’s hustle and bustle. The park has rows of roses with a fountain in the middle of the park. Please ensure you leave the park after sunset because the management closes the park without much notice - once the park is closed you’re pretty much locked in.

Nice enough place to see a variety of roses. But later in the year you lose a lot of the rosebuds and the overgrowth needs trimmed. As a bonus you get to see alot of planes coming in for a landing over the garden.

This place probably was once beautiful but now there are weeds that have taken over. Things are pretty much run down and in need of TLC badly.

I arrived at a dilapidated car park from which I could see a stray dog. I felt the moment I left my car someone would probably move in, possibly the poor homeless guy sleeping on a nearby grassy knoll. I walked in by the rough, unkempt paths into the rose circle centre, passing dying, sprawling and overgrown rose bushes. It looks like it hasn't been maintained for months. I felt very sorry for the park and felt it's emptiness. It looks like a well-meaning community project gone wrong. Even if it was better kept I still felt it would have a slightly barren, out of place feel. I hope someone can prove me wrong.
