Description: In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. Their mission was simple: create a fun and friendly atmosphere where the local community could enjoy huge portions of home-style cooking at a reasonable price. Today, we continue their mission at every Black Bear Diner across the country, as we passionately provide guests an outstanding experience. Our menu offers comfort food classics, and our entire menu is offered all day long. Whether you are craving pancakes at 8 pm or pot roast at 8 am - we've got something for everyone. Enjoy your meal in our family-friendly, cabin-themed diner with our welcoming staff or order to enjoy in the comfort of your home.

We had their "a little less" portions of meat loaf and pot roast and they were very tasty and still too big for us.

The food was good, affordable, staff was great! We were happy with the on location resturant. I was tired of driving.

Stopped while traveling Hwy 101 South. Easy access on and off freeway. Wide variety and serve breakfast anytime. I had a vegee type eggs benedict with tomato and spinach, which was wonderful. Not a breakfast item that can be done easily-theirs was perfect.
Good price, attentive service. Will return. Beware, busy place in the mornings on the weekend...

This is a very friendly Black Bear Diner. They wait staff is fast and very helpful and attentive. The place is packed on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Lots of locals as well as travels. You may have to wait.

They also were great about my allergy to cantaloup and gave me a huge bowl of fresh strawberries instead.
